Fairhaven prepares for The Open RQ

Professional golf at Fairhaven started back in 1934 when the course played host to the Penfold Tournament.

The Club has since hosted many Open Championship Final Qualifying Competitions when the Open Championship was played at neighbouring Royal Lytham & St.Annes Golf Club. The Professionals course record of 64 was achieved by Justin Leonard in 1996, while he was playing in and leading the final qualifying rounds.

With Fairhaven having recently received Open Championship regional qualifying status, the club contacted Clere Golf to enusre their course guides were befitting of such an event.

As an established supplier Clere Golf were delighted to work with the team at Fairhaven to develop a new course guide incorporating recent course modifications. The work Clere Golf provides also extends to the club scorecards, green fee tickets, members diaries and bespoke bag tags for the prestigious annual Fairhaven Trophies; a 72 hole Scratch Open International Junior Championship for Boys and Girls under 18 years.
